Love is at the core of the Bible. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Jesus gave us two commandments in the New Testament: Love God above all else and your neighbour as yourself. God is looking for a love relation with His children. Gods purpose for us that we do not remain sheep or slaves. No, God is looking for friendship, He is preparing His bride.
Unity is an essential precaution to reach others. We have to be one with our fellow christians. This does not mean that we can be different put we should be one in heart, goals and mind to reach others with the love of Jesus. A fellow christian builts on the foundation of Christ and believes that:
:: Jesus Christ is the Son of God
:: Jesus Christ died for our sins (salvation by His offering on the cross)
:: Jesus Christ is risen (the bodily resurrection of Christ)
We acknowledge: In Essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, love.
Joy is the second fruit of the Spirit. It is one of the aspects of our character that God works out in our lives. Joy is a lifestyle which is being expressed in our relationship with God (worship) and our relationships with other people. God wants us to walk in joy. There are many examples in the Bible. Jesus' first miracle was at the wedding feast in Cana. Jesus tells us about the wedding of the Lamb. The joy of the Lord is our strength and God loves the joyfull giver. Apparently God is not only interested in what we do, but also how we do things. Out of love, in unity and with joy.
